From the article that Bob Costas referenced last night on Sunday Night Football:

We’ve come to accept our insanity. We’d prefer to avoid seriously reflecting upon the absurdity of the prevailing notion that the second amendment somehow enhances our liberty rather than threatens it…the right to bear arms doesn’t protect us from a government equipped with stealth bombers, predator drones, tanks and nuclear weapons.

Unfortunately, many liberals (not all, mind you) see the 2nd Amendment as a threat to liberty. They will never accept the notion of a fallen humanity that has been murdering one another since the dawn of time. Be wary of the one who seeks to disarm you while exempting the one institution that has historically enslaved humanity since its existence–the government.
